Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate who will coordinate system development tasks to include the design, integration, and implementation of solutions. Develops and documents system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and other disciplines. Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution testing. Perform planning, modeling, validation, engineering, and verification activities. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, research, and solution definition studies to evaluate compliance of specifications with customer requirements.

• Assist with software and hardware management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity.
• Monitor and maintain the availability of project’s systems, including working directly with the hosting center.
• Maintain computer security in accordance with the standards.
• Design, configure, operate, manage, administer and maintain an IT development environment.
• Provide back-up support for administering Oracle Enterprise Databases.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, and upgrade VMs and Docker containers.
• Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable.
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services.
• Prepare presentations, reports, research, and other project deliverables.
• Analyze and troubleshoot problems within DevOps tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in systems design or related areas.
• Experience with Linux, Apache Tomcat & Weblogic.
• Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Java apps.
• Strong skills with relational databases. Oracle, Sql Server, Mysql, Postgres or NoSQL DB administration and monitoring in a container-based environment.
• Strong scripting/development skills. Python, shell scripting preferred.
• Basic understanding of API’s and web services, and experience with API Gateway interfaces preferred.
• Experience with system logging, monitoring and analysis tools, such as Splunk.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Setting up and managing system monitoring tools.
• Configuring and managing docker containers.
• Atlassian JIRA and Confluence Administration.
• AWS or Cloud.
• Kubernetes.
